Kreiser's Elderly Victims.... Ellen Berg
After Mr. Wilson, the next known victim was Ellen Berg,
In 2005 Ms. Berg filed elderly abuse and theft charges with the Okaloosa County Sheriffs Office against Ida Marie Kreiser. Kreiser hangs out at various religious functions with hopes of snagging an elder. This time it was the 2005 "revelations" seminar in Fort Walton Beach Florida and the Elder was Ellen Berg. This was in August 2005. Kreiser had only known Ellen Berg less than two weeks when hurricane Katrina began approaching the gulf coast. Kreiser comes up with the idea to escape Katrina by driving to Arkansas to stay with Ellen's son Bret Berg. But 2 days later when the coast is clear, Kreiser doesn't drive Ellen back to Florida. Kreiser has discovered that Ellen has some business in Indiana that needs taking care of. Kreiser then employs a scheme to have Ellen pay the way for a trip to Canada, yes Canada. On the way there, Ellen and Kreiser stop to have breakfast with 2 of Ellen's friends. When Ellen goes to the restroom. Kreiser starts telling Ellen's friends that she is losing her mind and that they should help Kreiser gain control of Ellen's money. Click here to read the statement of Ellen's friends.
Kreiser and Ellen then visit Kreiser's half sister in Haverhill Mass. Ultimately Kreiser decides that she should research her family tree by going to Canada. This trip cost Ellen over $2000.00. That's $2000.00 she couldn't afford. During the trip Kreiser gets upset with Ellen when Ellen tells her that she is getting low on money. Without telling Ellen, Kreiser phones Bret and tells him that his mother is low on money and that he needs to put money into her account. Kreiser has also tried the "your mother is mentally ill" approach on Ellen's son. Click here to read Bret's statement.
With Ellen running out of money Kreiser decides to return to Florida. On the way back Ellen has made arrangements with a friend to stop by their house. When they are getting near the exit, Kreiser holds out her hand and demands $40 or they are not stopping. Ellen did not give into the extortion. Kreiser passed the exit without stopping. Upon arriving back in Florida Kreiser stops at a convenience store that is 13 miles from Ellen's house. Kreiser makes Ellen get out of the car and take a cab. Kreiser's excuse for this is that her oil light is on in her car. But Kreiser doesn't have the car towed to a shop. She drives off and tells Ellen to get a cab. When Ellen gets home she discovers she has been robbed. Kreiser had stolen the contents of Ellen's luggage. Ellen files a complaint with the Okaloosa County sheriff's Office. Thanks to the incompetence of the sheriffs office, they fail to investigate properly and Kreiser gets away with yet another crime. Click here to view Ellens criminal complaint
Just as it is illegal to psychologically torture children, in Florida it is a felony to inflict intentional psychological injury on an elderly person, well that is unless you live in Okaloosa County Florida. Click here to view the Elderly Abuse law
